Answers To Frequently Asked Questions

Are passports required?

Cruise Lines require guests to provide proper travel documentation in order to travel. While a U.S. passport is strongly recommended, a pass card or an original or certified copy of your birth certificate along with a valid driver's license or state ID card is acceptable. NON US Citizens are required to carry a valid permanent resident card. For more information, visit www.travel.state.gov

How should we pack?

Cruise travel is like vacationing at other resorts. You should plan to go casual during the day. Dress code for the evening ranges from a dark suit or formal attire, to a sport coat and tie, to casual resort wear. You can plan on one evening to get dressed up. Shorts and T-shirts are not allowed into the main dining room during dinner.

What about special diets?

All cruises offer guests with dietary restrictions a wide range of healthy choices and menus including Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free and Kosher meals. Please speak with your head waiter and then sit back, relax, and enjoy great meals!

Is there a program for our children?

Yes. For kids ages 2 and up, and for no additional fee, young cruisers will spend time with qualified counselors and cruise staff. Under their experienced supervision, kids will enjoy games, activities, crafts, movies, parties, contests, great kids meals, desserts, and much more!

Can we make arrangements to celebrate a “special occasion”?

Absolutely. Special packages are available for all occasions, including such things as flowers, pictures, decorating your stateroom, fruit & cheese trays, wine, champagne, chocolates, even baking them a cake. You just need to let your cruise coordinator know about the occasion so they can assist you in making it “special.”

All of our ships are equipped with WiFi options for use with your laptop, IPAD or cell phone. Open 24-hours, the Internet Café features private terminals where you have the ability to surf the Web, chat online and access your private e-mail account

Do we have to tip?

Tips are not automatically added to the cruise booking, but can be prepaid when making the cruise booking or paid after the cruise is over.

How do we get to and from the ship and the airport?

The cruise lines offer transportation services at most ports and airports. You may choose to arrange your own transportation to and from the departure port.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule the cruise?

Once your cruise travel is booked, any changes or cancellations are subject to an administration fee or cancellation penalty. These may vary depending upon each cruise line. Please inquire with your PCT travel agent for more details.

Can I get cruise insurance?

Yes. Your PCT travel agent will be happy to provide travel insurance options for the cruise you are considering booking. Cruise insurance is available to protect travelers for medical emergencies and trip cancellation loss. Insurance is recommended and can be purchased at the time of booking your cruise, and is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

Can I travel with my infant?

Minimum age for sailing is 6 months, with the exceptions of Transatlantic, Hawaii and South American cruises, which are 12 months.

Can I cruise while I'm pregnant?

While at sea or in port, the availability of medical care may be limited or delayed. Prenatal and early infant care in particular may require specialized diagnostic facilities and/or treatment that are not obtainable during the cruise on board the ship or ashore in ports of call. Pregnant guests who enter the 24th week of estimated fetal gestational age at any time during the cruise will not be allowed to sail.

Pregnant women who have not entered the 24th week of estimated fetal gestational age at any time during the cruise, must submit, prior to departure, a letter from her attending physician certifying that her gestational status is in accordance with this policy, and that the expecting mother is fit to sail. It is the Guest’s responsibility to provide this pregnancy certification form to her physician and to follow up with its timely completion and submittal to the cruise line no later than 14 days prior to sailing. Failure to submit the completed form will result in denial of boarding and no compensation will be provided.

Because the safety of the pregnant mother and unborn child is our number one concern, the cruise line will not accept any agreement or recommendation from the Guest and/or her physician that the policy be waived.

Can the cruise lines accommodate my wheelchair?

The Cruise Lines are dedicated to offering the finest cruising experience to our guests with disabilities and special requirements. Our ships provide a quality of service and variety of accessible features to make your voyage a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Some ports are tendered ports which may have certain restrictions for those with disabilities. Please inquire about tendered ports when considering your specific itinerary.
